Richmond House has an Activities Coordinator who develops the programme after spending time with residents and learning what they enjoy.

The garden is part of everyday life and is also visited by birds and resident squirrels.

External entertainers visit, including Scottish musicians and dance groups.

Hand massage and aromatherapy are also listed among the activities available.

Plenty of choice at mealtimes

When someone moves into Richmond House, their likes and dislikes are recorded and shared with the kitchen team.

The cooks visit residents each day to ask what they would like. Special dietary requirements can be catered for, and something specific can also be prepared on request.

Fruit, snacks, biscuits and hot and cold drinks are available 24 hours a day. Meals can be taken in the dining room, lounge or in a resident’s own room.

A home with animals around it.

Richmond House welcomes well-behaved pets brought in by visitors and also has animals that are part of life at the home.

Richmond House has two resident cats.

A therapy dog visits regularly.

Birds visit daily, along with resident squirrels.

Life here should reflect the people who live here.
