The Swift is one of two hand built, spacious shepherd’s huts set within the peaceful grounds of Seonaidbheag, West Tofts near Stanley. Designed for couples, it offers an elegant and private base for a relaxing break in the heart of Perthshire.
Private outdoor bath and sun deck
A standout feature of The Swift is the outdoor bath on its elevated, south facing deck. Retractable privacy screens provide full seclusion while allowing you to enjoy open countryside views. The 15 square metre deck includes an outdoor table, chairs and a deck chair, making it ideal for relaxing throughout the day in maximum sunshine.
Evening fires and dark skies
Guests can enjoy their own private fire pit with seating, or use the nearby communal barbecue and covered seating area. This is a recognised dark sky area and is perfect for stargazing, with the chance to spot the northern lights on clear nights, even from the comfort of your outdoor bath.
Interior comfort and living space
Inside, The Swift features a cosy double bed, comfortable seating area and a fold out dining table. Entertainment includes a flat screen TV with Freesat and streaming apps, Starlink Wi-Fi and a selection of board games for quiet evenings in.
En suite and self catering facilities
In addition to the outdoor bath, The Swift has a modern en suite shower room. The kitchenette is fully equipped for self catering and includes an under counter fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, air fryer and electric frying pan. Stanley village offers a range of restaurants and takeaway options if you prefer to eat out.
Sustainability and welcome essentials
A hairdryer, eco friendly toiletries and cleaning products are provided. The Swift follows strong sustainability principles, avoiding single use products where possible. Waste is separated for recycling and food scraps are reused for our onsite chickens. A tea and coffee tray is provided on arrival.
Outdoor activities and local access
Secure storage is available for bikes and kayaks. The Swift is well located for fishing, walking, mountain biking, skiing and mountaineering, with several golf courses also nearby.
Special occasions and dog friendly stays
The Swift can be decorated for special occasions, with charcuterie boards or afternoon tea available by prior arrangement. Friendly dogs are welcome, with space for one medium or two small dogs. A shared secure garden is available with the neighbouring shepherd’s hut.
